A “daybook” is a type of record-keeping book used to chronologically log daily activities, transactions, or events. In accounting, a daybook records day-to-day financial transactions before they are summarized into a ledger. In a more general sense, a daybook can also refer to a diary or journal where a person notes their thoughts, activities, or observations on a daily basis.
