Cricetidae is a family of rodents commonly known as the cricetids. This family includes various species such as hamsters, voles, and New World rats and mice. Members of Cricetidae are characterized by their robust bodies, short tails, and generally small to medium size, and they are found in a variety of habitats across the Americas and parts of Eurasia.
